Iconic Breaks#KN7C

• Each day you get one iconic break and a prompt for how to approach it. • You have 24 hours to make a track or an idea with that break as the centre point of the drums. • The break must be recognisable as the backbone of the groove. Layer it, chop it, process it - but don't reduce it to a hi-hat under a fresh kick and snare pattern. • Use any other sounds, samples or presets you like: as long each days iconic break is the recognisable central piece of character / groove for the drums in your track, you can use any other samples and sounds alongside the drums. • Any tempo, any genre. Jungle, DNB, halftime, 140, breakbeat, hip hop — the break travels. • Original and unreleased. No tracks that have been released publicly anywhere at the time of submission. • Finished means bounced. An idea counts. A loop with an arrangement counts. Perfection doesn't. • No AI-generated tracks. Suno, Udio, Riffusion, and similar tools are not permitted. Detected entries will be removed from the platform. • 20 seconds minimum, no maximum (although file size limit is 20MB). • Submit as 320kbps MP3. A song that breaks any of these rules will be marked as disqualified and cannot be liked or contribute towards your score as a result. Prizes may also be revoked.
